What Are Tape Dispensers?

A tape dispenser is an object that holds a roll of tape and has a mechanism at one end to shear the tape. Dispensers vary widely based on the tape they dispense. Abundant and most common, clear tape dispensers (like those used in an office or at home) are commonly made of plastic, and may be disposable. Made from metal, these dispensers are robust and have a serrated blade, allowing fast, easy cutting & efficient application.

How Do You Refill Tape Dispenser?

• Push roll onto tape wheel on a flat surface.
• Pull 5-6 in. of tape off & around the roll. ...
• Place tape between the roller & metal gate.
• Pull tape, sticky side down, under the roller.
• Cut off excess tape.
• Tighten tension knob if tape unwinds too quickly. To tighten, turn the knob clockwise.

Press the dispenser firmly down against the surface of the box, while pulling the whole unit across the top of the box. Pull the tape over the edge of the box that is closest to you, and tear the tape off using the sharp cutting edge on the dispenser. Adhere the edge of the tape to the box manually, if needed.
